  • Nas - Rewind
This is one of my favorite songs off the Stillmatic album. Telling a story backwards(where the beginning is actually the end, and you work your way to the start) in poetry is called Reverse Chronology. There should be no doubt that Nas is one of the top tier storytellers in music. Take a listen and follow the narritve that he lays out on the song.

  • Canibus on Pharoache Monch's "Hell"
Bis blacked out at the end of this song. He goes all in on using a Stanza to express just how much your in when messing with him. I think battle rappers have perfected the use of this poetry form, showing just how potent writing techniques can be in modern music.
